Safe Spaces

~process group~

If you are currently experiencing an LDS faith transition/crisis and need a safe, confidential space to express yourself and explore ways to cope in a healthy way, then

this group is for you.

The "Safe Spaces" group is for voicing the emotions, feelings, and frustrations that come along with a massive and oftentimes unwelcome shift in world view.  Sharing these with other group members decreases feelings of isolation and struggle.

The "Safe Spaces" process group meets each week on Wednesday evenings and allows members a place to connect meaningfully with others through a shared experience of losing one's faith and finding new ground.  This is a process oriented mental health group, with open time for sharing struggles.

Mental health support is offered by Tiffany McPherson, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in each group session.

Discussion topics include:
Religious trauma
Boundaries
Sexual Shame
Perfectionism
Anger
Worthiness
Depression
Anxiety
Scrupulosity

and Potential ways to cope with and retain connection with

orthodox believing family and friends.

Please don't go through this experience in isolation.  Show up here and tell your story.  Be accepted and supported by others that understand and can truly say "me too."
Shame is reduced and connection is cultivated.

Your "safe space" is here.

Please contact Tiffany at (208)709-3164 or tifflcsw@yahoo.com for more information.
Intake session is required prior to attending group.

Cost is $30 per 90-minute group session.

This is an open-ended group, limited to a maximum of 8 members, so that each person will have ample opportunity for process and support.
Clients are added on a rolling basis as needed to fill the group.  Clients may be placed on a waiting list until a new group is opened.
Past members can return at any time for additional support.
